How To Write A Movie

, Posted in: , Author: admin (January 27, 2012)

Are you asking yourself what it takes to write a screenplay?

Here’s the uncomplicated version: You read a couple of screenplays in your genre, and then write in a similar fashion.

A few suggestions to follow:

– Give your main character a goal and have another character oppose it in a big way.
– Make your screenplay an obstacle course for the lead character.
– Put your characters in interesting circumstances throughout the story.
– Ultimately, you want to force your lead character to face their biggest fear on the way to achieving that goal.

If you do those things, you’ll have a story that works and interesting characters.

But if you want to win screenwriting competitions or sell your screenplay, go to ScreenwritingU for plenty of screenwriting articles and classes on how to be a success in screenwriting.
